Posted on Monday, June 20th, 2016

The event held on Friday 20th May at Solihull’s Touchwood Shopping Centre comprised of a full team marathon of 42,195 metres (26.2m).

Thanks to a real team effort our intrepid rowers put in a sterling performance with both teams helping to raise a combined total of £1,175.00.

Our two teams were:

Team 1: Gary Horsburgh, Derek Vinning, Tony Beresford, Mark Madin, Simon Ashley, Darren Vinning

Team 2: Matt Oulton, Iain Campbell, Kestutis Rudaminas, Kerry Draper, Ben Nicholls-Hardwick

Jen Boilestad, Community Fundraiser for The Brain Tumour Charity commented: “A huge thank you again to every single one of you for taking part in the incredible event. I am absolutely delighted to say that the event has now raised over £25,000.”

Traffix Managing Director Gary Horsburgh commented: “I’d like to thank all the guys who took part. It was a fantastic effort and we’re delighted to have raised a significant amount of money for this very worthy cause.

“Now that we’re ‘accomplished rowers’ we might consider entering a team into the Henley Regatta!”
