Can you describe the scale of your event?
The Lily Mae Foundation is a registered charity, supporting parents and families who have lost a baby to Stillbirth, Neonatal Death, Miscarriage or to a Medical Termination. We organise the annual Balsall Common Fun Run, now its 7th year as a fundraising opportunity. We achieve some 1200 runners each year of all ages and abilities. Our course is 5K, all run on closed and traffic free roads.
What’s the most challenging aspect of running your event?
Ensuring that we provide a traffic free course for the benefit and safety of all our runners and spectators.
How did you find out about Traffix?
We knew Some of Gary’s family personally, so it seemed appropriate to contact him when we were organising our first Fun Run in 2014.
What was behind your decision to choose Traffix
They offered immediate helpful and professional support and advice.
What’s important to you when working with event suppliers/partners?
That they respond to questions asked in a timely manner, adhere fully to the agreements made and deliver on time.
Is there a particular element to the service that Traffix provides, which stands out?
We enjoy the personal service and the ongoing support from the same individuals each year. This consistent approach makes planning and delivering each year’s event so simple and so much less demanding of our time and energy.
Would you say that Traffix go beyond your expectation?
They always respond positively to areas for future developments, often suggesting ideas for improvement.
Do you ever receive feedback about Traffix from event participants or spectators?
Although residents do not like road closures and the role that Traffix plays in these, we have never received any criticism or complaints about those who help marshal our course.
Would you say that Traffix make a difference to the success of your event?
Traffix have been key in the ongoing success of our Fun Run and we consider them to be partners in the growth and development of our event.
