In 2006 Traffix was founded by Gary Horsburgh as the realisation of his vision to create a Traffic Management company that would introduce a new approach to a sector that had not moved with the times.
Today Traffix is synonymous with innovative traffic management solutions that bring a wealth of benefits to building and construction businesses and event organisers.
In line with the long-term strategy of the business, Gary Horsburgh has relinquished his position of Managing Director and handed the reins over to Stuart Morrisey, previously Commercial Director at Traffix. Effective January 2021 Gary will assume the role of Financial Director.
Gary Horsburgh commented: “After 15 years at the helm I feel the time is right to hand over to Stuart and to take the business in a new direction. Stuart was the natural choice for the role due to his leadership skills, innovative thinking and client relationships.
“Our industry changes significantly year-on-year and it has been my pleasure to watch Stuart and the other members of our management team adapt and flourish. The current board of directors and management team are the strongest our company has ever seen and I believe Stuart and his team are well placed to take Traffix forward.
“I am very excited to see where the business goes from here, the team can count on my full support in my new role. Following our most successful trading year to date, it’s onwards and upwards as we celebrate 15 years of Traffix; here’s to many more.”
Stuart Morrisey commented: “It is with great pride and excitement that I take on the role of Managing Director at Traffix. Over the past 15 years Gary has built a very successful business at the cutting edge of innovation & service. Along with the rest of the Traffix team it is my intention to take the business to the next level, building on these core values.
“Although we are in unprecedented times, the future for Traffix looks very bright and we are eager to build a bigger share in the Temporary Traffic Management Market. On a personal note, I would like to thank Gary for this opportunity and his continued support as we enter the next phase for Traffix.”
