Everyday equality with Traffix
At Traffix, we believe in creating a workplace where talent thrives, regardless of gender. For us, supporting women in traffic management isn’t just for one day – breaking down barriers and making our industry better is something we’re committed to all year round.
From frontline operations to office leadership, women at Traffix are making sure roads are safe, traffic is flowing, and events are running smoothly.
As part of International Women’s Day, we’re shining a light on the women helping keep our roads moving safely.

Meet Caitlin – Traffic Management Operative
Q: What’s a common misconception about working in traffic management?
“People often think we just sit in the van and don’t do anything. In reality there’s a lot of work going on behind the scenes to keep sites running safely – we only get a chance to relax when everything is under control.”
Q: What’s something you’re proud of since starting in the industry?
“My confidence has really grown. I’m not shy about speaking up or directing people when needed, and the role has helped me build good working relationships with everyone on site.”
Q: What do you enjoy most about the job?
“Being out and about and getting to talk to people. No two days are the same.”
Q: Why is it important to see more women in the industry?
“The perception is that it’s a male-dominated industry, but women can absolutely do the same role. Sometimes it’s just about taking that first step through the door.”

Meet Aamna – HR Manager
Q: Why should women consider entering the traffic management industry?
“Traffic management offers women the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing industry where safety, planning and teamwork are central to everything we do. There are diverse career paths available, from on-site operations to planning, logistics and leadership roles, all contributing directly to public safety and major events.”
Q: What do you enjoy most about working in the traffic management industry?
“What I enjoy most is the fast-paced and people-focused nature of the industry. Every day brings different operational challenges, and in HR we play an important role in supporting the teams who ensure roads, events and the public remain safe. It’s an industry where you can truly see the impact of the workforce you support.”
