The Christmas holiday provides many of us with an opportunity to pause and reflect on the year as it draws to a close. Although we’re not quite there yet, I thought I’d look back on a few of the highlights at Traffix this year…
Our Major Projects teams have been busy supporting the infrastructure of HS2 throughout the Midlands, plus other projects such as the A45 Sprint corridor in Birmingham. The Traffix Events team played their part in a very successful Commonwealth Games and were back in Birmingham soon after to support another successful PRIDE event. Our teams were ever present managing traffic and pedestrians during matchdays at Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham City.
CONE – Consider Our Natural Environment
We want to be part of a sustainable future. This year we introduced CONE – Consider Our Natural Environment. CONE is our plan of action towards becoming a net zero carbon company with sustainability at the core of all that we do. I am delighted with the progress we are making in pursuit of our environmental goals.
Career Diversion – work for Traffix
We are always looking for hard working people with an interest in building a career in the Traffic Management industry. Our #CareerDiversion campaign was launched in May and has been highly successful with many new Traffic Management Operatives joining our teams across all 3 depots. For more information visit https://traffixuk.com/careers-diversion/
Looking for the signals…
Looking out for one another is part and parcel of life in the Traffix family. Three members of staff are now qualified Mental Health First Aiders, should someone in the team find themselves in need of help, there are colleagues trained to come to their aid.
Traffix receive new colour at awards ceremony
In July we learnt that we had been awarded the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award for 2022. We have fostered a tremendous working relationship with the Armed Forces and are proud to have ex service personnel in our teams. On the 2nd of November we were delighted to be recognised at the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards Ceremony West Midland and East Midlands, held at the National Memorial Arboretum. A huge congratulations to everyone involved.
Thank you to everyone for your support this year. On behalf of the Traffix team we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
