The Catholic Parish of Sacred Heart and Holy Souls in Acocks Green is located about 5 miles south-east of Birmingham city centre. The church is celebrating its centenary in 2025.
In order to mark this occasion and also raise funds for the church’s upkeep, a beer and cider festival was organised. To hold this event the church required the services of a traffic management company. Members of the festival team had remembered seeing Traffix working in the area and approached us.

We were only too delighted to offer our assistance. Because this was a charitable event, we waived our management fee. In addition to drawing a TM plan, supply and set up of barriers, cones and signs, we also supplied marquees and sponsored a beer barrel.
Over 500 people attended the event, which was held at the church’s social club during Saturday 7th June. Twenty two beers and ciders were on offer along with Prosecco for those who prefer something a little lighter. All responsibly consumed, of course.

Takings on the day were in excess of £27,000. Event Manager Max Lanham commented: “The festival far exceeded our expectations. This was made possible due to the generosity of our sponsors such as Traffix. The support provided by Traffix leading up to and during our event contributed to a safe and successful day for attendees and staff. Thank you Traffix.”

Kerry Draper, Traffix Health, Safety and Facilities Director added: “We receive a lot of requests for help from our local communities. Wherever we can, we try to do our bit. It was a pleasure to help the church celebrate 100 years. I’m sure everyone had a great day.”
