Traffix Events team are valued members of high-ranking groups such as the Safety Advisor Group (SAG), which includes all the emergency services. We also work closely with the Counter Terrorism Unit for major event planning and implementation.

Recently our team was honoured to receive an invite to take part in JESIP. The JESIP Joint Doctrine: the interoperability framework sets out a standard approach to multi-agency working, along with training and awareness products for responding organisations to train their staff.
In accordance with the JESIP training programme, members of the Traffix Events team have completed the JESIP One-Day Commander’ Course. The course is specifically designed for individuals in Operational, Tactical, and Strategic command roles. It’s an immersive one-day program that provides essential knowledge and skills for managing multi-agency incidents.
The course is grounded in the JESIP Joint Doctrine, which offers key principles and guidance for responders at all levels—whether they are at the incident scene or working remotely. This doctrine ensures a consistent, unified approach to responding to multi-agency incidents, regardless of their scale or complexity.
To overarching aim of JESIP is ‘working together, saving lives, reducing harm’. Putting people at the centre of the incident, from planning, through to response and recovery. All incident phases need to consider multi-agency working, best served by following the JESIP principles.

Traffix Operations Director Derek Vinning commented: “The level of support we give to our emergency services is second to none. In the event of an incident our senior team join the other services in command control with a remit to activate traffic and pedestrian management.
“Being invited to JESIP is testament to our excellent working relationships with the emergency services throughout the West Midlands. To say that I am proud of these relationships would be an understatement”.
