‘The Walk’ was an event organised to raise funds for charity. Friends and family came together to walk in memory of a loved one.
Neil Hames, a friend of our Founder Gary Horsburgh, was part of a group taking on ‘The Walk’ to raise funds for ‘Help Harry Help Others Cancer Charity’ and ‘The British Heart Foundation’. The goal was to walk 225 miles from Llangwm in Pembrokeshire to Birmingham in 11 days.
Neil approached Traffix and asked if we could lend our support. In addition to a donation, we supplied one of our TM vehicles for the group to use during the walk for transportation and storage of vital supplies.

This was no easy walk. The group took on the rugged South Pembrokeshire coastline, the Black Mountains, across the Brecon Beacons into Herefordshire, through Shropshire, Worcestershire and finally arriving in Chamberlain Square, Birmingham on day 11 as planned.
Nursing a few aches, a delighted Neil Haynes commented: “Providing a vehicle for the duration of the walk was an incredible gesture. It enabled us to get to and from the start and finish points and provide close support when needed. If that wasn’t enough, Traffix also made a donation, I can’t thank them enough!”

Kerry Draper, Traffix’s Health, Safety and Facilities Director added: “We were only too pleased to lend our support to Neil and his fellow walkers. They rose to the challenge and raised a significant amount for two wonderful charities. Well done Neil!”
